Today's - young and idealistic Lefties - do not care to study the history of Socialism - since they are misguided ideologs - wanting a "Socialist Paradise" - crammed down everybody's throat.
A lot of the U.S. "lefties" greatly admired the Soviet Revolution of 1917 - until the truth started to "slip out". It needs to be noted that many U.S. and International Leftists - fervently extolled the Red Communist propaganda materials - until the truth started to come out in droves - as it always does.
The simple fact is that in any country in which Socialism (a little "brother" - making a way for Communism) - took power - it's proven to be a total disaster. The Scandinavian countries - B.T.W. - are not any cockamamie Socialisms - each one of them has a big Capitalist equation to their respective economies.

If you're in love - keep it in the right kind of love's - mode - since according to many wise sages - love can be blind, deaf, insane and leading to "no good" actions. Needless to say - love can - also - be a great high - which needs to be experienced in order to enhance any human life.
