Our Commentary of the Week - From Fri. Apr. 03 - 2020 until Fri. Apr. 10 - 2020!

           For this memorable first week of April 2020 we choose a charming, old Tango uploaded by Dr. 240252 on Mon. March 30 - 2020. Its titled "Tango Adios Muchachas - Chor Dana" which translates from Polish to "Tango Adios Muchachas - by Dan's Choir". A male vocal choir - "Dan's Choir" was tremendously popular in Poland in the early 1930's. They did a lot of nice Tangos and other pieces popular at that time in Warsaw and the rest of Europe. This particular recording which Dr. 240252 posted on YouTube on March 30 - 2020 displays some noises since its a vintage work. That low static does not distract from the mood of this Tango. It needs to be noted that Dr. 240252 - normally - presents an excellent sound on his YouTube uploads. 
      "Adios Muchachos" a popular Tango composed in the middle 1920's by an enormously famous Argentinian Tango composer - Francisco Canaro was made famous by the Tango star of the day - Carlos Gardel for whom it was - actually - composed and who performed it a lot. Carlos Gardel of Argentina as well other famous vocalists made that Tango - widely loved and frequently performed. 
      Not to get side tracked - but Carlos Gardel was tragically killed in a plane crash at the height of his fame in the late 1920's when he was only 30 years old. Francisco Canaro - on the other hand - lived to be a very old man, composed many super good Tangos and other tunes and had a well deserved reputation of being a big "womanizer" who frequently seduced many female singers whom he made famous.

Let's all pray and think positive thoughts since the next few weeks will be hard in terms of the coming peak in casualties of Coronavirus - that accursed, 21st Century plague.
