Our Commentary of the Week - From Fri. March 27 - 2020 until Fri. Apri. 03 - 2020!

For this last week of March 2020 for our Commentary of the Week - we pick a video of a lovely, old Polish Tango - a super "hit" with an amazing staying power - posted on YouTube website "Olga Mieleszczuk" on March 22 - 2020. This old Tango classic is performed even now by fine vocalists in various Polish venues - especially the night clubs/cabarets; it's  titled in Polish and Yiddish - "Ostatnia Niedziela / Letstikn Shabbas". Olga sings this Tango in those two languages - she also sings in Hebrew - the title of this Tango loosely translates from Polish and Yiddish as "The Last Sunday". Olga Mieleszczuk - a Polish/Israeli international vocalist - is a pretty, blond haired lady in her mid-thirties - whose alto voice lends itself well towards many good uploads of Tangos on her YouTube website. Her band of three musicians called "Tango Attack" - sounds super good.
The moving - sad but realistic lyrics of this video tells the story of a rejected lover - were penned by Zenon Friedwald - a Polish Jew - many of whom were famous in rich Warsaw Tango scene circa 1939 which flourished;  the Nazi/Socialists' led - Second World War - decimated Warsaw (Paris of Eastern Europe) which has - subsequently - rebuilt herself and rose like a Phoenix from the ashes.
It needs to be noted that the Polish composer of this Tango - Jerzy Petersburski came from a family of several prominent musicians and he was an author of another internationally celebrated song - "A Blue Scarf" - still performed by many accomplished vocalists.
At any rate - enjoy the video - everybody and have a good last week of March 2020. Coronavirus is on the way out - but don't let your guard down and - please - do what the experts and Pres. Trump - tell you to do. We shall meet here a week from today - same channel - same place!
