Our choice for this Valentine week of February 2016 is a classy, jazzy tune by Bert Lown famous orchestra - with the masterful vocals by their steady famous vocalist - Elmer Feldkamp - titled Alone in the Corner - from the 1930's - uploaded on Feb. 12 - 2016 by Dr.240252. The talented vocalist featured - died young of heart failure while only in his late thirties - luckily - he recorded quite a few jazz sides so he can live on Youtube.
The sparkling visuals highlight the famous movie idols projecting their lonely but hilarious - images - confirming the notion - about the famous movie stars also feeling "alone" - at times even if they were adored by millions of fans.
This time of the year - while various media outlets - fueled by the prospect of extra sales - bombard us with the yearly "Valentine" holiday - messages - some creative - some "phoney-baloney" - it's refreshing to reflect upon some forms of loneliness which happen to all of us.
Famous and accomplished people feel that way - as much as anybody but it's not the "end of the world" to feel lonely - at times. It makes one appreciate the good times with friends of all kinds.
At any rate - in spite of the cold February spats - the spring is coming!
