Our YT Choice for the Vid of the Wk - for the 4th Wk of Sept. 2017 - "'Everything Passes' by Klaudia Shulzhenko."

For the last week of Sept. 2017 - we chose a song by the famous Soviet Diva - Klavdia Shulzhenko titled "Everything Passes" uploaded on June 17 - 2013 by 783nata - YT video producer. The ballad is flawlessly delivered in a silky mezzo by Klavdia Shulzhenko whose legions of followers - presently include a lot of younger fans who know her through YouTube.
The video producer picks the photos of the singer which capture most crucial moments of her life. As a young performer she had an appearance of an angel - however - as she aged and faced typical life's challenges - intensified by her great talent - her looks changed - they became rougher. No doubt - vodka had something to do with it.
Adored and idolized by many thousands of her faithful fans who bought her records - En masse - she never lost touch with common people and their important passages - even though she was on the top of her successful "run" - for many years of her glorious career.
However - unlike another famous Soviet Diva - Lyubow Orlova - Shulzhenko never got too involved in Soviet politics while Joseph Stalin - the Communist butcher held on to power for many decades. She couldn't speak against him - of course - but she didn't kiss his ass - either.
Whoever saw her in person in concert - remembers her outstanding stage presence - as if it was a religious experience - in terms of feelings conveyed by her interpretation.
The song we are highlighting in this video -was composed by a talented composer with the lyrics written by a gifted lyricist - to be sure - however - only a few enormously talented vocalists like Klavdia Shulzhenko could deliver it in a manner which penetrates the souls of the numerous listeners of various ages and nationalities.
At any rate - have a good last week of September - everybody! We meet here - a week from today!
