Our Commentary of the Week - from Fri. Jan. 13 - 2023 through Fri. Jan. 20 - 2023!

For this cold, wintery week with some snowflakes swishing around - we will comment upon a couple of steady commentators/pundits who appear every Friday during the nightly PBS - "News Hour" that is Leftist biased. We -usually - focus on the - equally - Leftist slanted - half hour of "Washington Week in Review" which - as we mentioned last week - is an "offshoot" of PBS's "News Hour's" nightly broadcast. "Washington Week in Review" focuses - mainly - on the events going on in Washington, D.C.

In any event - Jonathan Capehart is a supposed Liberal/Leftist - counter opinion to an alleged - Conservative - David Brooks. It's not as if we criticize anybody's appearance but Capehart looks like a big, fat woodpecker which can be a beautiful bird - for certain; they are useful - for sure - as they poke the trees' barks - for bugs.

Anyway - Capehart's weekly commentaries' partner - David Brooks frequently claims that he "was a Republican" in the near past - currently - however - he calls himself "just an independent observer of a present political scene".

It would be presumptuous to claim that those two are engaging/interesting to any extent - in another words - both of them are propagandists for the Leftists/Progressives even if - at times - occasionally - we agree with their ideological analysis. Most of the time - however - it's much better to check out a variety of political commentators - especially this week during which a newly elected Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives - attempts to nominate a powerful position of a Speaker of the House of Representatives for the new - 118th U.S Congress. Only the representatives vote for this important position - not the general public which would make it a "mob rule".

Important note: Kevin McCarthy was - finally - elected by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives - a Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives for the new - 118th U.S. Congress which lasts - 2 years. It happened - after an unprecedented - 15 rounds of voting.

Everybody will have a super good second week of New Year - 2023 and we shall meet here - a week from today!
